Like any holiday season, it can be challenging to convince our children and young people to step back from their screens during Easter break.
It might seem that the easiest option for managing screen time is to not allow it at all, but screen time activities like gaming and social media are a source of fun and friendship for many children and young people.
A more productive approach would be to establish boundaries and highlight fun and entertaining offline activities to spend their time with to encourage a healthy balance.
Some ideas for screen-free time:
Go for a walk.
A family activity, like bowling or mini golf.
A board games night.
Visiting a farm and petting some spring lambs.
Easter egg trails – check the National Trust website to see where they are near you.
Arts and crafts – our Easter Creativity Pack lets your little ones get crafty with some cute easter bunnies and a paint-by-numbers of our mascot, Freddie!
