What is Anti-Bullying Week?
Anti-Bullying Week 2023 takes place from 13th-17th November. This year’s theme is ‘Make a Noise about Bullying’, encouraging people to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
Four in 10 children aged 8-17-years-old have experienced bullying, either online or offline.
Aimed at 7-11-year-olds, these classroom resources allow children to reflect on how best to respond to bullying. The lesson contains 3 engaging and relevant animations which help to stimulate an important discussion around bullying.
For 11-16-year-olds, these resources include several online bullying scenarios in which pupils work through, to develop their understanding of online bullying and its impacts. Pupils can test their knowledge with a quickfire quiz at the end.
For 16-18-year-olds, this lesson and resource will highlight the prevalence of online bullying and its impacts. Using videos and animations that create scenarios, pupils will reflect on and develop appropriate responses.
